BETTY KNIGHT $100 TET, 6 ", EV (hardy), M, 25 Dark purple with large yellow/gold edge. Large yellow throat. Spectacular presence in the garden. Even the best photos don't do it justice (yeah, I've heard that before). Flat and opens well. Good substance and holds up well in the sun. Low bud count: 10-15. Branching 2-way. CHANCE ENCOUNTER x CLOTHED IN GLORY.

YELLOW WAVE $50 TET, 5.25", SEV, M, 25 Bright yellow gold, with some areas of darker hue, giving the illusion of burnt yellow/orange, reminding me of the top of a baked merangue pie. Ruffled edges but the way the petals and sepals come together, thre is somewhat an additional wave to the overall form . Low bud count: 10-15. Branching 2-way. BILL NORRIS x TYCOONS TREASURE
WHEN VAMPIRES ROAR $50 TET, 4", DOR, M, 22 Bright red with large yellow and (hint of) lime throat. Consistently nice round form, with never any lazy 3rd petals. BEAUTY AND THE BEAST $25 Tetraploid, 5.5 Inches, SEV, 2001 Registration BILL NORRIS x (FERENGI GOLD x EVER SO RUFFLED) Diamond-dusted blend of yellow with a hint of peach. Hint of green throat bleeds out into pleated petals with heavy sculpting. Ruffled gold edge of 1/4 to 3/8 inches. Heavy substance. Sunfast. Very flat consistent opener, however as a young seedling, it sometimes threw a small deformed flower; hence 'the Beast.' Hgt: 26, SEV, Midseason, SEV, 3-way branching, 10-15 buds, reblooms. Fertile, but somewhat pod difficult.
BORN TO THRILL $25 Tetraploid, 5.25 Inches 2002 Registration FERENGI GOLD x EVER SO RUFFLED Melon/Gold. Slightly creped. Flat, round with heavy ruffling and lighter midrib. Very heavy substance. Very sunfast. Hgt: 28, Mid-season, 10-15 buds. Dormant.

MY FAVORITE MISTAKE $25 Tetraploid, 5.5 Inches 2002 Registration ERIN LEA x FERENGI GOLD Bright lemon yellow with ornate 3/8-inch, tightly-knit, bubbly gold edge. Paler yellow midrib appears as off-white. Heavy substance. Consistent flat form. Hgt: 26, DOR, Mid-late, 15-20 buds.
ORANGE SIZZLE $25 Tetraploid, 5.0 Inches ALEXANDRA x COUNCIL FIRE Fluorescent diamond-dusted Orange/peach polychrome with yellow throat. Flat, round, with thin tight ruffled wire gold edge. Obviously the flower form is not the round and flat perfection that I usually strive for. Instead, the petals often bend or recurve. But make no mistake: the substance is heavy and the flower is not floppy. The almost iridescent hot orange color is what 'makes' the flower for me. Creates a showy clump. The image shown here is poor and doesn't do the flower justice. 26, Mid-Late, 10-15 buds. Reblooms.
PEACH PRINCESS $25 Tetraploid, 2003 4.0 Inches Hot, warm peach/orange polychrome, blending to a yellow throat with a ruffled yellow/gold edge. Bud count: 10-15. Branching 3-way.
SUMMER MORNING SUNRISE $50 Tetraploid, 4.00 Inches EV, EM 22 2003 Registration Yellow/peach polychrome blend. Ruffled gold edge. Heavy substance. Lime green throat bleeds out and into petals.
